The Galaxy S21 series in India has just joined the One UI 5.0 beta program. Samsung customers who own the Galaxy S21, S21+, or S21 Ultra in India can now register for the One UI 5.0 beta program for a chance to test the upcoming firmware before the beta period ends and the update becomes widely available to the public.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta program is available for unlocked Galaxy S21 models, and the pre-release firmware — once available — comes with a few caveats. Firstly, there are the usual bugs people should expect from beta software. Next, Galaxy S21 users in India should back up their data before applying to join the beta program to avoid losing anything of value. Finally, Some apps and features may not work, and Google Pay is among them.

What to expect from Android 13 (One UI 5.0) beta on the Galaxy S21?

Android 13 and One UI 5.0 are chock-full of small UI changes and additions, including enhanced Color Palette options, stacked widgets, new gestures for Multi-View and Pop-Up window, as well as more emojis, AR Emojis, and a slightly redesigned notification and quick toggle area.

Additional improvements come to Samsung DeX, the My Files app — now with better search, Digital Wellbeing, Samsung Keyboard, and the Camera app. The latter boasts a few UI improvements that let users access different modes and use the zoom functions with more ease.

Bixby Routines also got more actions and conditions. The built-in IFTTT app from Samsung is also more intelligent in One UI 5.0 and can suggest new routines according to the user's habits.

Galaxy S21 users who want to join the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta program in India can register through the Samsung Members app. Once again, keep in mind that the program is open only to factory-unlocked Galaxy S21 units.

Previously, the Galaxy S21 series entered the One UI 5.0 beta stages in South Korea and the UK.
