Samsung released the September 2022 security update to the Galaxy S22 series last week. Yesterday, the update reached more countries, including the US. However, the update was only available for the unlocked version of the smartphones. Now, the update has also been released to the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy S22 series.
The newest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S90xUSQS2AVHL on T-Mobile's network and firmware version S90xUSQS2AVHH on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile's networks.
According to Samsung's documentation, the September 2022 security patch fixes 24 privacy and security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy devices. The update might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
As usual, you can update your phone by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually. However, you need to be careful while using the manual flashing process.
