Google Stadia is among the most popular cloud game streaming platforms in the world, and it is available on Samsung devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, and TVs. It offers gaming in Full HD and 4K resolution, but it is now starting to roll out support for QHD (1440p) streaming.

Although the game streaming service already offered 1440p streaming, it was only activated when you set the resolution to 4K and used a monitor or TV whose resolution is more than 1080p and lower than 4K. Now, though, the company has officially started displaying the option to set 1440p resolution.

The new quality setting inside Google Stadia's desktop app shows ‘Up To 1440p' that consumes up to 14.4GB of data for an hour of gameplay. That's higher than 1080p's 12.6GB data per hour and 4K's 20GB data per hour. The new quality setting could soon appear on other devices, including smartphones, tablets, TVs, and Chromecast with Google TV.

The 1440p streaming option is currently limited to Google Stadia Pro subscribers. Hopefully, the feature will arrive for non-Pro users in the future. You can use this setting when you connect your Galaxy Book or Odyssey laptop to a QHD monitor.
