Samsung unveiled its Bespoke lineup of home appliances five years ago. What once looked like an experiment has turned out to be great for the company's business. The South Korean firm has announced an important milestone for its Bespoke refrigerator lineup.
Samsung has sold over 3 million BESPOKE refrigerators since launch
Samsung's Bespoke refrigerator sales have crossed the 3 million unit mark over the past five years, which means the company has sold one Bespoke refrigerator every minute. Samsung revolutionized the home appliances market in 2019 by launching Bespoke refrigerators that let users customize the front panels and choose the colors and materials of their preference. This allows the refrigerator to blend into the interiors seamlessly.
Over the past few years, Samsung expanded the Bespoke series to include more types of home appliances, including dishwashers, dryers, microwaves, ovens, range hoods, rangers, and vacuums. In 2021, Samsung expanded the list of colors from basic to a 360-degree prism. In 2022, the company also added the Infinite lineup of bespoke appliances with a color and design combination that offers a timeless look.
The company added AI technology to its Bespoke refrigerators. The Bespoke AI Family Hub features AI Vision Hub that automatically recognizes food inside the refrigerator and maintains a list of items. It reminds users of items about to run out of stock or close to their expiry date. It also syncs with Samsung Food to offer recipes that can be created using food items inside the refrigerator.
Tae-hwan Hwang, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, “From the beginning of a new era of customized home appliances that has never been seen before to the achievement of selling 3 million units, Bespoke refrigerators have continuously evolved to enable everyone to enjoy a lifestyle that suits them. As a hub for AI home appliances. As we continue to establish ourselves, we will continue to strive to make consumers’ everyday lives more convenient and smart.“
