Less than a week remains before Samsung announces the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. As is always the case with Samsung's unannounced devices, almost all the features and specs of the upcoming foldables have leaked. However, some newly leaked Galaxy Z Flip 6 images show how Samsung is planning to improve the widget experience on the cover screen.
One UI 6.1.1 could allow users to place multiple widgets in the same view on the cover screen
Leakster Evan Blass has posted some new Galaxy Z Flip 6 images, showcasing the phone from multiple angles. What appeared interesting to us was the UI on the phone's cover screen. As you can see in the two images below, the cover screen has three widgets in a single view, which is not possible on the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
One UI 6.1.1 may bring a new feature allowing users to add multiple-sized widgets in the same view on the cover screen of Galaxy Z Flip series phones. However, only the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 have 3.4-inch cover screens, so this feature might be limited to those phones. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 may get the same widget arrangement feature with the One UI 6.1.1 update.
The story continues after the video below.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is also rumored to feature a better primary camera. It could use a 50MP primary camera on the outside, and with in-sensor cropping, it could offer 2x optical quality zoom shots. That 2x zoom toggle can be seen in the image below on the right. Samsung might introduce more features with the One UI 6.1.1 next week.
Usually, Samsung launches its foldable phones with the One UI x.1.1 software, and that update is then released to its foldable phones and tablets in the following weeks. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 might get many of those features with the One UI 6.1.1 update later this month or next month.
