Samsung introduced Galaxy AI with the Galaxy S24 series smartphones. The company then expanded the suite of AI-powered tools to older phones and tablets with the One UI 6.1 update and is planning to expand it to smartwatches with the upcoming One UI 6 Watch update.
Well, the South Korean tech giant has now introduced Galaxy AI to its wireless earbuds as well.
At the Galaxy Unpacked event today, Samsung launched a bunch of products. Among them are the company’s latest earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The company has equipped both models with Galaxy AI to help with a couple of tasks. Here is what Galaxy AI can do on Samsung’s latest earbuds.
Real-time language translation right in your earbuds
With Galaxy AI, you can now hear what the other person is saying in their language on your Galaxy Buds 3 or Galaxy Buds 3 Pro in your language. Here's how you can use it.
With Galaxy Buds 3 or Galaxy Buds 3 Pro plugged into your ear, open Interpreter on your Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy Z Flip 6 and select the Listening Mode. That's it.
Currently, there's no information on whether Samsung will expand this feature to older Galaxy phones. That being said, we expect the brand to make it available to at least flagship-grade devices.
Galaxy AI can reconstruct your voice for better voice calls
The microphones on the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are closer to your lips than those on the Galaxy Buds 2 and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, thanks to the new stem design. The new placement of mics allows them to capture your voice in a better way than the old placement, offering better voice quality on calls.
In addition to that, the microphones on the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro feature the Super Wideband (SWB) technology, which allows them to record audio in a much wider bandwidth than the microphones on the previous models. Wider bandwidth offers better voice clarity and therefore, better call quality.

Even with these improvements, it is possible that the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro might not be able to record bits of what you say if you are speaking too softly or if there’s a lot of noise in the background. Well, Samsung is using Galaxy AI to solve this issue.
Using Galaxy AI, the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro can reconstruct the bits of what you said that the microphones couldn’t record and transmit that to the other person so that they can understand what you said with utmost clarity. Now, that’s an excellent use of AI.
