Samsung released the Galaxy A05 One UI 6.1 update a few days ago. The update is currently available in India, Latin America, and Thailand. The phone was launched with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 Core software last year and received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update a few months ago.

Galaxy A05 One UI 6.1 update is out now

The Galaxy A05 has finally received the One UI 6.1 update. It is available in India, Brazil, Panama, and Thailand. The update comes with firmware version A055FXXU4CXF2 in India, A055FXXU4CXF2 in Thailand, and A055MUBU4CXF7 in Brazil and Panama.

It is a relatively big software update but doesn't include the latest security patch. To install the new software on your Galaxy A05, open the Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

What are the new features One UI 6.1 brings to Galaxy A05?

The new software allows users to add frames and effects to wallpapers. When a person or a pet appears in the wallpaper, you can apply the background blur effect. The lockscreen gets new mini-sized widgets for some stock Samsung apps. You can customize alarm and reminder alerts. For alarms, you can choose AR emojis, images, or videos and change the layout of the alarm information. For reminder alerts, you can set colors and backgrounds for full-screen alerts.

You can add up to two stickers for each day on the Calendar app. In the month view, stickers are now shown beside the event name.

The Reminder app allows you to add an icon for each reminder category. You can also pin frequently used or important categories to the top. You can reorder the Modes listed in the Modes tab in the Modes & Routines app. You can turn off/on Modes from the home screen.

One UI 6.1 brings the new Quick Share to the Galaxy A05. The new Quick Share is a merger of Samsung's Quick Share and Google's Nearby Share. It lets you share files over Wi-Fi without an active internet connection.

The Samsung Find app lets you track and locate lost or stolen devices. You can also perform family location sharing with due permissions from other Samsung Find users. You can also share your own location with family members and friends.

Samsung Internet lets you sync tab groups across Samsung devices that have your Samsung Account signed in.

Samsung Health now lets you compete with your records. It also enables you to crop your exercises to remove unnecessary time at the beginning or the end. You also get more options for daily activity targets. One UI 6.1 can add custom moods for female health and menstrual cycle tracking.

The Weather app now has an improved widget that shows more detailed information. One UI 6.1 lets you input text using voice without hiding the Samsung Keyboard. It also lets you open all minimized apps at once.

There are more battery health protection options and improved search in the stock Gallery app. The Finder section of the phone now offers matching search results from Google.
