Samsung Electronics chairman Jay Y. Lee is reportedly on a trip to India to review the company's local business performance. He is also expected to attend Anant Ambani's wedding ceremony during his visit.
Anant Ambani is the son of Mukesh Ambani, the world's 11th richest person, and is richer than Nvidia's Jensen Huang.
Lee visits India to review local business performance
Korean media has reported that Samsung Electronics boss Lee is visiting India. He reportedly arrived in India on Monday and landed in Mumbai, India's financial hub. Lee is expected to meet local business partners and review the company's local operations.
He was spotted attending Anant Ambani's wedding ceremony, which will also be attended by several celebrities, dignitaries, and leaders from around the world.
Samsung Networks was the sole supplier of 4G LTE network infrastructure for Reliance Jio Infocomm, which is owned by the Ambani family.
Samsung has massive operations in India. The South Korean firm is not only India's biggest smartphone and TV brand but also has smartphone and home appliances factories. A Samsung display, smartphone, and laptop factory in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, which can produce over 120 million phones annually, and a home appliances plant in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.

Lee has been on an extensive business trip over the past few months. First, he visited the US and met Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Qualcomm's Cristiano Amon, Amazon's Andy Jassy, and Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg.
Then, he visited Vietnam and met the country's PM. Samsung has a massive smartphone, display, and appliance factory in Vietnam.
