Samsung debuted the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra with a new version of One UI Watch. This new software, based on Wear OS 5, comes with some new watch faces, and at least some of those watch faces will be released to older Galaxy Watches.
Galaxy Watch Ultra watch faces to be released to older Galaxy Watches with software update
Some of the watch faces that debuted with the Galaxy Watch Ultra are really good-looking. Some users of older Galaxy Watches asked Samsung whether those watch faces will be released to older devices. Samsung's Community forum moderator revealed that newer watch faces would eventually be released to older Galaxy Watches.
While the forum moderator didn't delve into details about how those watch faces will be released and which Galaxy Watches would be compatible with them, it is expected that those watch faces will be released via the Galaxy Wearable app. These watch faces could be released to all smartwatches running One UI 6 Watch, so they will likely be released to the following devices:
- Galaxy Watch 4
- Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
- Galaxy Watch 5
- Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch 6
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic

When will One UI 6 Watch update be released?
Samsung has already released three One UI 6 Watch Beta updates to the Galaxy Watch 6. Since the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 5 received the One UI 6 Watch Beta update a few days later, they have received fewer beta releases, but all three smartwatches are running the same firmware version right now.
The South Korean firm could release the final and stable version of One UI 6 Watch to the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 6 in the next few weeks.
