Yesterday, we reported about an issue related to the ear tips on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. However, that is not the only issue seen on Samsung's newest flagship earbuds. Some buyers have received units with build quality defects, and Samsung seems to be taking those issues seriously. It has stopped pre-orders for the earbuds in its home country.

Galaxy Buds 3 Pro issues force Samsung to temporarily pause pre-orders in Korea

Some users who received their Galaxy Buds 3 Pro early have reported on social media that the earbuds have quality control issues. For example, some units seem to have uneven gaps, while others have problems with the finish. On some units, the Blade Lights (LED light strips) are shining on different sides. On some units, the silicon ear tips are getting torn while being removed from the housing.

In light of these issues, Samsung has stated on its website that it is looking into improving quality control and has temporarily stopped taking pre-orders for earbuds in South Korea. However, the company's representative has clarified that the launch of the earbuds has not been delayed. The new earbuds will still go on sale on July 24.

The executive said, “Consumers who have problems with their products can visit a service center to exchange or refund the product. We apologize to consumers for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Samsung said it will do its best to thoroughly inspect all processes before the official launch of the earbuds in South Korea so that similar incidents don't happen.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro can still be pre-ordered in India, the US, and other markets, but shipping dates in the US have moved to August 28. Some of our readers in the UK have received an email from Samsung stating that they should expect a delay in pre-order shipments.

Watch the design and features of the earbuds in our video below.

What is new with Galaxy Buds 3 Pro?

This is the first time Samsung has released wireless earbuds with a stem design. Apple popularized this design, and the industry has adopted a similar design over the years. With the new stem design, improved algorithms, and new voice recording technologies, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro claim to offer much better call quality.

Samsung has also used a new dual-driver audio setup featuring planar tweeters for improved audio quality. It has also used a new and higher-resolution audio codec called Samsung Seamless Codec Ultra High Quality (SSC UHQ) for 24-bit 96KHz sampling. The earbuds also feature Adaptive ANC, Adaptive EQ, and custom equalizers.
