Galaxy Tab S9 July 2024 security patch now available in Europe
The Galaxy Tab S9 and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra have started getting the July 2024 security update in European countries. The new update for the Galaxy Tab S9 comes bearing firmware version X716BXXS4BXG7, while the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra’s new update has firmware version X916BXXS4BXG7.
The Galaxy Tab S9+ hasn’t received the new update yet, but it might soon get the same update, probably with firmware version X816BXXS4BXG7.

This new update patches 25 vulnerabilities found in the Android OS and 33 vulnerabilities discovered in Samsung’s smartphones and tablets. Don’t expect this update to bring any new features or performance improvements.
Samsung might release the July 2024 security update to the Galaxy Tab S9 series in other parts of the world in the next few days. After this update, Samsung is expected to release the One UI 6.1.1 update, which debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 two weeks ago.
The Galaxy Tab S9 series was launched in July 2023 with Android 13 onboard. The tablets in the lineup received the Android 14 update in late 2023 and is expected to get the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update before the end of this year.
