Samsung has released a new version of the Sound Assistant app (version 6.1.00.9), which is a module for the company’s Good Lock app. With this update, Samsung has disabled the Reverse Stereo feature in the app for its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Here’s what the feature does and why Samsung disabled it for the two devices.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI
In the Sound Assistant app, the description of the Reverse Stereo feature reads “Swap the left and right audio outputs for headphones.” The reason that the brand has given for removing it for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is this: “Due to changes in system sound processing methods, stable functionality cannot be guaranteed,” as you can see in the screenshot below.
We hope that Samsung updates the Reverse Stereo feature to work with the new system sound processing method without any issues and enables it for the two devices. To get the latest version of Sound Assistant, go to Galaxy Store » Menu » Updates and click on the ‘Update all‘ button.
