One UI 6.1.1 debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in July. It's packed with some cool new features, including a few that enhance the Galaxy AI experience that Samsung introduced in early 2024 with the Galaxy S24 lineup.

We detailed many of One UI 6.1.1's features following the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. And in the last couple of weeks, we have also discovered some hidden features and improvements that seem to have slipped under the radar.

In a new YouTube video, we explore four of the most interesting hidden features and improvements that haven't gotten the attention they deserve: a new Smart Select tool, handwriting guidance in the Samsung Notes app, new options for composing messages using AI, and the ability to create 3D photos.

Some of these have been talked about before, but we think they're exciting enough to be mentioned again. For all the details, just hit the play button below. Then, check out more One UI and Samsung videos on the SamMobile YouTube channel.

One UI 6.1.1 coming to many Galaxy devices later this year

We expect everything you see in the video above to make its way to several Galaxy smartphones this year. That's in addition to many other One UI 6.1.1 features. The package will include fancy AI functionality like Portrait Studio and Sketch to Image.

However, some features may be exclusive to foldable phones. That's because they take advantage of the form factor and dual displays on Galaxy Z Fold and Flip smartphones.

The One UI 6.1.1 update is likely to start rolling out to eligible devices sometime in late August. It will be followed by One UI 7.0, which is shaping up to be one of the biggest One UI upgrades in recent years, especially when it comes to the visual interface.
