Samsung has brought Galaxy AI's Google-powered Circle to Search feature to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. The company recently announced Circle to Search would come to select mid-range devices.
The list of eligible devices included the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, and despite suggesting the tablets would get the feature next month, Samsung has already made the update available.
Korean Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ owners get to use Circle to Search before owners in other markets. But it shouldn't take long to start rolling out outside Samsung's home country.
Circle to Search lets you search for anything on your tablet's screen by long-pressing the home button or navigation handle and circling the image or text of interest. It can also identify music. Circle to Search replaces Google Assistant as the default search method, with Google Assistant now accessible with a swipe in from the bottom left or right corner of the screen.
The update that adds Circle to Search to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ also brings the July 2024 security patch. It can be downloaded over the air from the tablets' Settings » Software update menu. Firmware files are also available in our archive and can be used as an alternate method of updating to the latest software.
For those wondering, this update does not bring One UI 6.1.1 or any other Galaxy AI features. One UI 6.1.1 will arrive separately in the coming weeks and will be followed by One UI 7.0.
