Last week, Samsung released the August 2024 security patch to the European variants of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Now, the company is rolling out the latest security update to the international variants of those smartphones, which have model numbers SM-S901E, SM-S906E, and SM-S908E, in many countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The August 2024 security patch fixes 50 security issues. The update that brings it to Galaxy S22 has firmware version S90xEXXSAEXGD. To get it on your device, head to Settings » Software update » Download and install. If you don’t see an update after doing that, you will have to wait for it till Samsung makes it available for your device. If you don’t want to wait, you can download it from our database.
One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7.0 are on the way for Galaxy S22
While the new firmware doesn’t bring any new features to the Galaxy S22, Samsung is expected to release One UI 6.1.1 to the lineup very soon. It offers many new and useful features that you can check out in the video below.
