Samsung's Art Store platform, available for The Frame lifestyle smart TV, is constantly enriching its gallery with new artworks created by classic and contemporary artists from around the world. This month, Samsung announced the addition of over a dozen new art pieces made by Swedish painter and interior designer Carl Larsson.

Samsung and the Carl Larsson-gården Museum have started a collaboration to bring fourteen of Larsson's paintings to The Frame through the Art Store platform.

The artist is renowned for his watercolor paintings of idyllic scenes, depicting Swedish family life and the countryside. Among the fourteen art pieces added to the Art Store for The Frame TV are iconic pieces such as:

  • Flower Window (1894).
  • Crab Catch (1898).
  • Spring (1907).

More than 2,500 artworks on one digital platform

Samsung's The Frame is one of the most unique smart TVs you can buy — although rivals like Hisense appear to want to copy the idea.

Samsung's clever Frame TV was designed from the ground up to offer a fantastic TV experience when in use and to pass as a painting when not.

The Frame's matte screen is a perfect digital canvas for photos and paintings, and the interchangeable frames help the TV blend in with its surroundings even more.

This digital content is distributed through the Art Store platform, which is a subscription-based service that also lets users buy individual paintings and photos. A monthly Art Store subscription costs $4.99. The Frame users can also pay $49.90 for a yearly subscription.

In its recent announcement regarding the Carl Larsson collection, Samsung revealed that the Art Store has grown to include more than 2,500 works, including photos, graphics, and collections from famous museums and galleries.

Most smart TV models from Samsung, including The Frame0, have access to what is called Ambient Mode, which offers free and paid video recordings and scenes — and even NFT videos through a couple of select platforms. However, the Art Store is exclusive to The Frame TV and focuses on classic and modern art pieces that can make this particular TV model look as close to an analog object as possible when in Art Mode.
