Samsung has unveiled a new refrigerator called the French Door Refrigerator. It has AI-powered features to improve power efficiency and make everyday life easier. The refrigerator was showcased in South Korea earlier today.
Samsung's French Door Refrigerator has AI
The French Door Refrigerator is a two-door refrigerator that differs slightly from Samsung's Four-Door Bespoke Refrigerator. Its freezer section is on the left, and the refrigerator is on the right. It has a feature called Auto Open Door, which automatically opens the refrigerator's door for you using a motor when you touch the door sensor lightly. So users with weak arms can open the door easily. The feature is also useful when your hands are full, and you want to open the refrigerator.
The new refrigerator has Wi-Fi connectivity and SmartThings compatibility. You can use the AI Saving Mode in the SmartThings app to reduce power consumption by 15%. Its AI Inverter Compressor improves power efficiency, further reducing your power bills.
The French Door Refrigerator's ‘Constant Temperature Refrigeration' feature reduces slight temperature changes, and Samsung claims it can keep food items fresher for longer while maintaining their original taste. There are six models in the new French Door Refrigerator lineup, and three of those models are offered in Bespoke colors. Their pricing starts from KRW 1.69 million ($1,264) and ends at KRW 2.49 million ($1,863).
A Samsung Electronics official said, “We have significantly strengthened Samsung’s differentiated AI technology and customized functions in the French Door Refrigerator, which has been steadily gaining popularity among consumers. With the expanded range of refrigerator choices , we hope that more consumers will be able to enjoy a new kitchen experience that fits their lifestyles.”
This refrigerator could be launched in other countries in the coming months.
