Last week, Samsung released the September 2022 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in international markets. Now, the South Korean firm has released the update to the unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip in the US.
The latest software update for the unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip bumps up the firmware version to F700U1TBU5GVHA. The update brings the September 2022 security patch that fixes over two dozen privacy and security vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you have an unlocked Galaxy Z Flip and if you live in the US, you can now download and install the new software update on your phone. You can do that by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip in early 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2 software. The foldable phone received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in early 2022. It will get one more Android OS update (Android 13 with One UI 5) sometime early next year.
