The Galaxy Tab S9 series has started getting the One UI 6.1.1 update, just a couple of days after the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy S24 series went live worldwide. Korea is the first market to get the update. The country also received One UI 6.1.1 for the Galaxy S23 series today.
The Galaxy Tab S9 One UI 6.1.1 update can be identified by the build number X91xNKOU4BXHB. It seems that One UI 6.1.1 for devices launched in 2023 is a smaller download compared to the Galaxy S24 lineup.
While the Galaxy S24 update was around 3GB in size, the Galaxy Tab S9 update is 2.2GB. The changelog for the latter doesn't seem to be any different, however, so we will have to dive deeper into the new software to see if Samsung has skipped some One UI 6.1.1 features for devices launched in 2023.
As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is getting One UI 6.1.1 in Korea. Whether or not the update will go live in other countries this week remains to be seen. In some countries, the release may not take place before next week, at least if the One UI 6.1.1 rollout schedule published by Canadian carrier Telus is to be believed.
Korean users can download the update from their tablet's Settings » Software update menu. In addition to One UI 6.1.1, the update comes bundled with the August 2024 security patch.
