Last week, Samsung released an update to the international variants of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. It brought the September 2024 security patch to these phones. Now, the company is rolling out an update with the same security patch to the carrier-locked variants of these smartphones for the US.
So far, Samsung has made the update available for devices on DISH, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Soon, it should expand that to other network carriers, and in the next few days, to other variants of the Galaxy S21 series devices. The new firmware comes with version G991USQSCGXH2. The September 2024 security patch fixes 67 security issues.

As usual, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install to get the update on your Galaxy S21 FE. If that’s not working for you for some reason, you can download the new firmware from our database and install it manually using Odin. However, the second method isn’t as safe. So, back up your data before going ahead with it.
Samsung is developing Android 15-based One UI 7.0, and the Galaxy S21 is eligible to get it. The upcoming software will bring many new features to the smartphone, including redesigned icons. Expect the company to roll it out by the end of this year. Follow us on Telegram or WhatsApp to be the first to know when Samsung releases it.
