Samsung has been rolling out the One UI 6.1.1 update the last couple of weeks, and you would assume that the company moved to One UI 6.1.1 only after making One UI 6.1 available to all eligible devices. Well, you would be wrong: Samsung has just released the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy XCover 5.
The XCover 5 was also late to the Android 14 and One UI 6.0 party: the rugged phone received the Android 14 update after Samsung had already released One UI 6.1 for several devices. So, it's not surprising that One UI 6.1 is making a delayed appearance as well.
The Galaxy XCover 5 One UI 6.1 update made its debut in Korea, where it is rolling out with the build number G525NKXUAEXI1. It could take a few weeks for the update to appear in other markets, at least if we go by how long One UI 6.0 took to reach the phone in some countries after the initial release.
One UI 6.1 will probably be the final feature update for the Galaxy XCover 5 unless Samsung decides to bring some One UI 6.1.1 features to mid-range devices. However, we expect mid-range Galaxy devices to go directly from One UI 6.1 to One UI 7.0.
To download the update, Galaxy XCover 5 users can open the Settings app on their phones, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install.
