The Galaxy S24 FE went official with a pretty sizable list of upgrades over the Galaxy S23 FE, such as a considerably more powerful chipset, a bigger battery, larger dimensions, and better firmware support.
The S24 FE doesn't bring any camera upgrades, not hardware ones anyway. But thanks to the newer Exynos chipset and improved post-processing algorithms, the Galaxy S24 FE offers picture quality on par with the Galaxy S24 and S24+.
Galaxy S24 FE can record 8K videos at 24 fps and 30 fps
The Galaxy S24 FE is also the first FE phone that supports 8K video recording at 30 fps. The Galaxy S23 FE was the first FE phone to get 8K video recording, but the frame rate maxxed out at 24 fps.
Now, users can choose between 24 fps and 30 fps when switching to 8K resolution. It may not sound like a big change on paper, and 30 fps is certainly not as good as 60 fps, but eagle-eyed users will notice the difference. You can check out a short 8K 30 fps video sample below.
The Galaxy S24 FE has a 50MP primary wide-angle camera with an 84-degree field of view (FOV), a 12MP ultrawide camera with 123-degree FOV, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom at the back. The primary and zoom cameras have optical image stabilization. At the front sits a 10MP camera for selfies and video calls.
8K videos are only supported on the primary camera, as an 8K video has a resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels, which is equivalent to 33.2 million pixels.
