One UI 7.0 beta program will be available for both developers and users

The One UI 7.0 beta program will be available for both developers and regular users. This was always expected, but Samsung fans were a little concerned when the company only confirmed the beta for developers following the first official One UI 7.0 teaser at the Samsung developer conference (SDC24) last week.

That isn't the case, however. A moderator on Samsung US' community forums confirmed that the public will get the One UI 7.0 beta program. Again, this isn't surprising, but it should clear any lingering concerns fans may have.

Samsung will offer more details later this year

Unfortunately, One UI 7.0 beta testing may not begin anytime soon for either developers and users. In response to our queries, the company simply said that it will have more to talk about later this year. That's probably because Samsung won't be releasing the stable version of the new software to existing devices before the Galaxy S25 series launch sometime early next year.

Compared to the One UI 6.0 and 5.0 beta programs, the One UI 7.0 beta is already two months late. Samsung has a good reason, though. One UI 7.0 is bringing a massive makeover, the likes of which we haven't seen since probably version 1.0 of One UI.

And that makes public beta testing of the upcoming version of One UI rather important. User feedback is helpful even for minor One UI updates, so it would be foolish for Samsung to not let users beta test One UI's biggest update in years.

Samsung has big plans for One UI in the coming years. In addition to giving it a major overhaul on phones and tablets, Samsung will unify the software experience across all of its product lines under the One UI brand.

Whether you purchase a Samsung smartphone, smartwatch, TV, or one of its many smart home appliances, you will get a cohesive user experience. Samsung is also working on making AI an integral part of the experience.
