Last week, we went hands-on with One UI 7.0, revealing the UI design and some new features. We noticed some new app icons, a new Quick Panel design, and improved animations and transitions. However, according to a new report, all of that could change.
One UI 7.0 app icons haven't been finalized yet
If you were wondering why Samsung hasn't released the One UI 7.0 beta update yet, it appears that Samsung still hasn't decided on several things related to it. According to tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), One UI 7.0 is still in its development phase, which means several aspects could change by the time Samsung releases the stable version of the software.
The latest internal version of One UI 7.0 is claimed to be very smooth, and several system UI and app icons have changed. In our exclusive One UI 7.0 hands-on video below, you can see the Gallery app's new icon, but even that seems to have changed again.
Samsung has reportedly added more widget options. Ice Universe claims that One UI 7.0 has more (and better) widgets compared to any other software/operating system. However, no details have been published in this regard, so we have to wait and see what those new widgets would look like.
The South Korean firm has confirmed that it will open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program before the end of this year so developers and enthusiasts can beta-test it before its stable version is released early next year alongside the Galaxy S25 series.
