Samsung is rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. This update contains the October 2024 security patch for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, which fixes 30+ security vulnerabilities in Android and Samsung's One UI.
The first market to get the Galaxy S23 series' October 2024 update is the USA. It's available on select carrier-locked variants at the time of this writing but should expand to all carrier and unlocked units in the next few days.
The update will likely go live for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in other countries before the end of the month. A similar update should also make its way to the Fan Edition model, the Galaxy S23 FE, soon.
You can identify the update by the build number S91xUSQS4CXI4 and download it over the air from your phone's Settings » Software update » Download and install menu. The latest Galaxy S23 firmware is also available in the SamMobile database and can be used to upgrade the device using a Windows PC and a USB-C cable.
The October update for the Galaxy S23 series only includes security enhancements.
