As some of you may have noticed, earlier today, Samsung India announced that the Galaxy Ring is only two days away from being released. As it turns out, India isn't the only new market for the smart ring. Australia just stole the spotlight with an even earlier Galaxy Ring release.

The Galaxy Ring is now available in Australia exclusively from Samsung's online shop and Experience Stores. Indeed, it is available today, and in fact, Samsung confirmed that Australia is the first market in Southeast Asia and Oceania to offer the Galaxy Ring.

Pricing and all other details you need to know

Australians can now buy the Galaxy Ring for A$699. They can choose from three color options, i.e., Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold, as well as nine sizes (5-through-13 on the US scale).

If you don't know your size, don't worry. You can specify that on the landing page, and Samsung will send you a Galaxy Ring Sizing Kit, which you can use to find the perfect Ring size before you complete your order.

    More details after the video

Another fact you might want to know is that the Galaxy Ring is compatible with Android 11 phones with at least 1.5Gb of memory but is incompatible with iPhones.

Furthermore, there's an interesting byproduct of having different ring sizes. Battery sizes will also differ, and you will get slightly better battery life on larger Rings. It's not like you can do anything about it, as you will have to pick the Ring based on your ring size, but it is a fun fact nonetheless.

On average, Samsung says the Galaxy Ring lasts 5-to-7 days on a full battery charge. The carrying case has an internal battery that holds an extra ~1.5x charge. The ring is IP68-rated but is so compact it has virtually zero repairability.

Finally, Galaxy Ring requires the Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Health apps. The latter will allow you to monitor health and fitness parameters such as heart rate, skin temperature, and sleep patterns.
