Samsung has announced it is bringing Generative AI wallpapers to its most recent high-end TVs. This feature debuted with the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year and then expanded to older high-end smartphones.
The company announced it will bring the feature to its TVs at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024.
Samsung's TVs launched in 2024 get Generative AI wallpapers
Today, Samsung announced the launch of the Generative Wallpapers feature for its QLED and Neo QLED TVs launched in 2024. This feature uses Generative AI to create 4K images based on the user's inputs. With personalized wallpapers, Samsung TV users can have a unique visual experience and match their TV's wallpapers to their home decor and personal taste.
This feature can be accessed via the Ambient Mode section on your Samsung TV. After navigating to the Ambient Mode section, select the button and choose a theme, such as Holiday or Party, to create personalized wallpapers. The section also includes informative news, time, and weather conditions.
The Generative Wallpaper feature will be available on Samsung TVs in Europe, North America, and South Korea next month. It will be available in other parts of the world in early 2025.
Cheolgi Kim, EVP of Samsung's Visual Display Business, said, “Generative Wallpaper brings a new dimension of personalization to our customers’ screens, allowing them to customize their TVs in a way that truly reflects their style. As we continue to push the boundaries of AI technology, we look forward to transforming the home entertainment experience and evolving how users interact with their screens.“
