Samsung announced the Galaxy A16 in India last week, and the company is now going bonkers with adverts, particularly for one color option. Samsung is shining all the spotlight on the gold Galaxy A16 and featured the phone in a new 1-minute ad on YouTube. Check it out below.
The company barely acknowledged there are other color options available, like Blue Black and Light Green. Samsung went all-in on this gold color for the Galaxy A16, which is understandable. It really stands out more than the rest.
On the more practical side, Samsung also highlights some of the phone's best characteristics. You know, aside from the gold finish.
And no, it's not real gold, by the way. The phone has a plastic frame and plastic back panel, but the paint job is striking nonetheless.
More importantly, the Galaxy A16 is the first in the A1x series to boast any water resistance rating, i.e., IP54, which makes it splash-proof. It also comes with the promise of six major Android OS upgrades, which is unheard of for this kind of low-cost phone.
Combined with decent specs and a slick design, it makes sense why the Galaxy A16 might become a best-seller in the low-cost market, and why Samsung is proud to show it off. It's a value phone through and through, but it doesn't mean it can't look fabulous.
