Last year, Samsung added the Medication Tracking feature to the Samsung Health app for Galaxy smartphones. It offers you information about drugs and reminds you to take them. Last week, the company made that feature even better by adding more functionalities, including allowing you to add medicines by simply scanning them with the phone’s camera and showing you adherence statistics. The company also announced that it will make the Medication Tracking available in more markets, including India. Well, that’s finally happening.

The story continues after the video…

Samsung has announced that it has introduced the Medication Tracking feature in the Samsung Health app in India. This is the same advanced version of the feature that the company has made available in the US and South Korea. In India, it offers information about drugs with help from Tata’s 1mg, a digital healthcare platform in the country. As mentioned earlier, along with offering information about drugs, the feature can remind you to take them and keep track of when you have taken or missed taking those medicines.

In addition to that, in India, the Medication Tracking feature also gives you the option to purchase a medicine online. Once you click on the option, the app will take you to Tata 1mg. Samsung is rolling out the feature with an update to the app. The feature is live on our Galaxy S23 in India, as you can see in the screenshots above. To update the Samsung Health app, go to the Galaxy Store » Updates and then click on the update icon beside the Samsung Health app listing or click on the Update All button at the top-right corner of the screen.
