It has been over three months since the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra debuted with the One UI 6 Watch software. However, Samsung still hasn't released the stable One UI 6 Watch update to the older Galaxy Watches. Now, it appears that the One UI 6 Watch release date for Galaxy Watch 6 has been revealed.

Galaxy Watch 6 may get One UI 6 Watch update in two weeks

Two weeks ago, Samsung ended the One UI 6 Watch Beta Program and released the stable update to those Galaxy Watch 6 users who participated in the beta program. Now, it appears that the company is almost ready to release the stable update to all other users. A report claims that the update will be released to the Galaxy Watch 6 series on November 12 in Canada.

Once the update is released to the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Samsung could release the stable One UI 6 Watch update to the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 5 within a matter of days.

Watch One UI 6 Watch and its features in our video below.

What new features does One UI 6 Watch bring?

The One UI 6 Watch update is based on Wear OS 5, and it brings dozens of new features. Based on your mental and physical readiness, it offers you an Energy Score every day to let you know how ready you are to accomplish your daily fitness goals.

It also offers more accurate and detailed sleep measurement and AI-based sleep quality analysis. You can also create custom workout routines.

The new software introduces all-new double-pinch gestures for quick actions like turning off an alarm, dismissing a notification, or controlling music.

You can scroll through notifications and tiles quickly by flicking the screen left or right. You can tap the bottom of the screen to view ongoing activities like a timer or a workout.

You can adjust notification settings directly on your Galaxy Watch rather than relying on your smartphone. One UI 6 Watch also gives more control through Modes And Routines.

New controls include Do Not Disturb, Always On Display, Raise Wrist To Wake, Touch Screen To Wake, Touch Bezel To Wake, Disconnection Alerts, and Sound Mode.

Emojis can be accessed quickly by selecting your favorites. You can save images you receive in messages to the Gallery on your Galaxy Watch. Those images can be shared with others or used to create watch faces.

One UI 6 Watch also introduces a new default font. When you play music, the Galaxy Watch will automatically connect to paired Galaxy Buds (or other wireless earbuds) or Bluetooth speakers.

In Power Saving Mode, you can limit health tracking features to make the battery last even longer.
