The time has come for Samsung TV Plus to expand once again. Today, the company announced that its growing free ad-supported streaming TV service will soon be available in Thailand.
When Samsung was in the midst of expanding the TV Plus platform into the Middle East this summer, the company also confirmed its plans to release TV Plus in three Southeast Asian countries later this year.
Those three countries were Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand. Samsung kept its word regarding the first two, and sure enough, Samsung TV Plus is already up and running in Singapore and the Philippines.
Today, Samsung announced it will soon go full circle and release TV Plus in Thailand on November 13.
Over 20 global TV channels
Samsung says this year, TV Plus users in Thailand will enjoy curated sections of over 20 global TV channels. Popular shows available on TV Plus include:
- MythBusters
- Survivor
- Don't Tell The Bride
- Deal or No Deal
- River Monsters
- Fear Factor
- Come Dine With Me
In addition, Samsung TV Plus also brings the Euronews World global news channel, as well as local channels and content from Banijay Entertainment and ITV Studios.
Last month, Samsung announced that TV Plus has an active user base of more than 88 million. TV users in Thailand will only help the network grow.
