The latest version of Auto Blocker for One UI 6.1.1 introduced a few new features but didn't stop there. Interestingly, the changelog for Auto Blocker, version 1.1.00.28, mentions a few additional security features that should become active once the upcoming One UI 7.0 update goes live for Samsung Galaxy phones.
Auto Blocker version 1.1.00.28 brought extra security layers to One UI 6.1.1 devices through the Maximum Restrictions mode. The latter debuted earlier this summer, and with the latest update, Samsung added extra layers, such as preventing actions of device admin apps and work profiles while Maximum Restrictions mode is enabled.
More to the point at hand, the changelog for Auto Blocker version 1.1.00.28 (via APK Mirror) also says that the Maximum Restrictions mode will have three extra features in One UI 7.0:
- Block USB connections.
- Block 2G networks.
- Block automatic reconnection to non-secure Wi-Fi networks.
Confusingly enough, the first feature — Block USB connections — already exists, but the other two do not. This is either an error on Samsung's part or means that the Block USB connections option will get more options with One UI 7.0.
Samsung is expected to roll out One UI 7.0 early next year, with beta testing presumably kicking off this month.
