It was expected that Samsung would open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 by the end of July. However, those plans were put on hold after the company wanted a stable and feature-rich update to reach beta testers. Now, it is rumored that the first One UI 7.0 beta update will be released next week.

First One UI 7.0 beta update could be released on November 17

Leaker IceUniverse (@UniverseIce) has predicted that Samsung could open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program on November 17, 2024. This aligns with their previous report claiming the update could be released in mid-November. Other reports also point towards a similar timeline for the release of Samsung's next big software update.

The update will likely be released for the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea and the USA. A few days later, the One UI 7.0 Beta Program could be opened in more countries, including China, Germany, India, Poland, and the UK.

Watch an early beta version of One UI 7.0 in action in our hands-on video below.

Samsung usually releases new beta versions of One UI in the third quarter of each year. After the software is tested and bugs are fixed, the stable update is released in the fourth quarter of each year.

However, with the One UI 7.0, the beta version will be released in the fourth quarter of this year, and the stable update will be released in early 2025.

The South Korean firm is bringing a major UI design revamp with One UI 7.0. It features new stock app icons, a new Quick Panel with two pages (notifications and quick setting toggles), a new charging animation, a new battery icon, bigger notifications with rounded sides, and new animations and transitions.
