The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (SE) was launched a few weeks ago in South Korea and went on sale a few days later. The first batch of this foldable smartphone sold out in ten minutes, and now the third batch sold out even faster!
Galaxy Z Fold SE sold out in Korea in six minutes
After the second batch of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition was sold out in five minutes, Samsung brought more units of the smartphone as a part of the third batch. This batch went on sale in South Korea yesterday, and it is being reported that all units of the phone were sold out in just six minutes.
Despite more units being available for sale, the Galaxy Z Fold SE was sold out at a similar pace to the second batch.
This is a very good sign for Samsung, as the Galaxy Z Fold SE is a costlier device than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is itself a very pricey smartphone.
The Galaxy Z Fold SE is priced at KRW 2,789,600 (~$2,024) and comes only in one color: Shadow Black. It comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. There is a variant of the phone that comes with 1TB of storage, but it is only available in China and is called the W25.
It is Samsung's most advanced foldable smartphone. It features bigger and wider screens: a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x cover screen and an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x foldable screen. Both have a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ compatibility.
It is Samsung's thinnest foldable smartphone, measuring 10.6mm thin (when folded) and weighing 236g.
It has a 200MP primary rear camera and a 4MP selfie camera. Other specifications remain similar to those of the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6.
