Samsung is making big changes to the entire user interface with One UI 7.0 (Android 15), in addition to many of the stock Samsung apps that come preloaded on all Galaxy devices. One big change is coming to the Camera app: Samsung will be rebranding AR Emoji to Galaxy Avatar.
AR Emoji is being rebranded to Galaxy Avatar with One UI 7
We learned about Galaxy Avatar when we played around with a test version of One UI 7.0 at Samsung's developer conference. The company has now revealed that it will simply be a rebranded version of an existing feature. This change was announced through a notice in the AR Zone and Deco Pic apps.
Samsung said that AR Emoji will be rebranded to Galaxy Avatar with One UI 7.0. Whether there would be new features or design improvements to Galaxy Avatar remains to be seen. The company hasn't revealed that information yet.
The South Korean firm confirmed that AR Doodle, AR Zone, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure will be made available as standalone apps on phones running One UI 7.0. They can be installed via the Galaxy Store. It is possible those apps won't be pre-installed on Samsung phones and tablets.
