Samsung is offering (spotted by Tarun Vats) a one-time free screen replacement for Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S22 Ultra units in India facing green line issues. This free screen replacement program was applicable until September 30, 2024, but that has been extended to December 31, 2024.
- Galaxy S21
- Galaxy S21+
- Galaxy S21 Ultra
- Galaxy S21 FE 5G (SM-G990B and SM-G990E)
- Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908E)
Users who have these phones and are facing the green line issue need to head to a Samsung-authorized service center to get the screen replaced. Engineers at Samsung service centers will inform users of the whole process for claiming the screen replacement.
Some Galaxy S21, S21 FE, and S22 series users have complained that a green line suddenly appeared on their phone's screen, especially after installing a software update. However, it hasn't been confirmed or proven yet if a software update is causing this issue.
Other brands, including OnePlus, have also opened a similar free screen-replacement program for phones suffering from this issue. Samsung has offered similar programs in the past.
