The latest security update for the Galaxy S23 series may finally roll out globally. At the beginning of the month, Samsung released the November 2024 software update for the Galaxy S23 series in the USA, but the update didn't go live in any other market for nearly three weeks.
That is no longer the case. The Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra are getting the November 2024 security update in Korea today. The update will hopefully start rolling out in other regions before the end of the week. This will probably be the final software update for the Galaxy S23 series before the One UI 7.0 beta program kicks off.
Surprisingly, in Korea, enhancing device security isn't the sole purpose of the November update, which can be identified by the build number S91xNKSU5CXK4. It also improves device stability, but as always, Samsung doesn't go into any further detail. It's unclear if the update fixes the Dolby Atmos issue that was introduced to these phones with the One UI 6.1.1 update.
You can look for new updates on your Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. You can download Galaxy S23 firmware from SamMobile as well.
