Across the globe, customers like you love Samsung TVs. We pointed this out back in February 2015 when the company became the top global TV brand for nine years in a row. Then again in December 2020 as it continued this impressive streak for the 15th consecutive year.

We also highlighted this as recently as May 2024 when the streak hit its 19th year in a row. Things haven't changed as the company is now on track to complete a full two decades at the top of the TV market.

Samsung's lead in the premium market is enviable for rivals

Market research firm Omdia has released new data which shows that Samsung retained its leadership position with a 28.7% share for all TV sales in the third quarter of this year. LG followed in second place this past quarter with a 16.5% market share while China's TCL and Hisense came third and fourth respectively.

With just one more quarter to go, where the momentum is not likely to shift away from the company, Samsung will soon be the top TV supplier globally for 20 years straight.

Samsung's utter dominance in the premium segment is a thing of envy. For sales in the $2,500 and above segment, Samsung grabbed a 49.2% sales share through its premium QLED and lifestyle TVs. Samsung also took the top share in the 75-inch and 80-inch+ segment, accounting for 29.4% and 32.7% of the market respectively.

The company sold an impressive 5.66 million QLED TVs in Q3 2024 alone as well as 940,000 OLED TVs. This is a testament to its excellent product mix and feature set that has continued to encourage buyers to open their wallets for two decades. High-end models among the best Samsung TVs this year include the Samsung S95D QLED TV (Review) and Samsung S90D OLED TV (Review), providing an excellent mix of picture quality and AI functionality.

Samsung will solidify its product offerings further as we head into the new year with its latest collection of premium and lifestyle TVs that will likely be unveiled at January 2025's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
