The latest Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 software updates are rolling out in more countries today. These updates, which come bundled with the latest security fixes, came out in Korea last week and have now gone live in Europe and the US.
New Flip 5, Flip 6 update fixes security flaws, improves software stability
The Korean versions of these updates had a download size of over 1GB, so they aren't run-of-the-mill security updates that Samsung releases every month. However, the changelog doesn't offer any meaningful information and only mentions general stability improvements.
You can download new updates on your Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Flip 6 by opening the phone's Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware for these devices from the SamMobile firmware library and use a Windows PC and USB cable to install them.
A similar update (packed with security and stability improvements) was released recently for the Galaxy S24 lineup in some markets and could be the precursor to the first One UI 7.0 beta update. According to a leaked roadmap, the One UI 7.0 beta may not come to any device other than the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra this year.
