Art Basel paintings come to Samsung's The Frame TV
Samsung is deepening its partnership with Art Basel by bringing its art pieces to the Art Store for Samsung's lifestyle series TVs. Earlier, the company became Art Basel's Official Visual Display partner in Basel, Switzerland. Now, the South Korean firm is bringing contemporary artworks from Art Basel exclusively to the Art Store on Samsung TVs.
This new art collection joins artworks from other places, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Musée d’Orsay.
People with Samsung TVs that have the Art Store can get an exclusive look at 15+ artworks that will be displayed at this year's Art Basel Miami Beach event. The event is being held from December 6 to December 8, 2024 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. At the event, some artworks will be displayed using Samsung's The Frame TV.
Art from James Cohan, Kasmin, Moniquemeloche, Mor Charpentier, Nara Roesler, Roberts Projects, and Tina Kim will be showcased at the event, and Samsung TV owners will have a virtual front-seat experience of the art fair via their TVs.
Art Basel is a premiere art fair that was founded in 1970 by gallerists from Basel. It now brings artworks from 286 international galleries from 38 countries to present artworks of the highest quality across all media, including digital art, painting, photography, and sculpture.
Noah Horowitz, CEO of Art Basel, said, “Art Basel’s mission is to power the world of art by connecting leading artists and galleries with art loving audiences. Our collaboration with Samsung allows us to extend that reach like never before by broadening access to leading galleries and significant works from established artists to a new generation of emerging talents.“
