Samsung plans to announce “a number of new screen home appliances” with AI Home at CES 2025. The electronics expo will be held in Las Vegas, USA, starting January 7, 2025.

The company has already unveiled some of those home appliances via a press release.

Samsung's next flagship home appliances will have ‘AI Home'

The next-generation home appliances from Samsung have an ‘AI Home,' a solution to control and monitor all home appliances connected to SmartThings. You can control and monitor those devices using a big touchscreen display.

With its ‘Screens Everywhere' vision, Samsung wants to attach smartphone-like touchscreens to all your home appliances, including refrigerators, microwaves, and washing machines.

Some of its upcoming home appliances with AI Home include the Bespoke Refrigerator with a 9-inch touchscreen. Its next-generation Bespoke Dryer and Bespoke Washer feature a 7-inch touchscreen display.

Using the AI Home screen on these devices, you can turn all your SmartThings-connected home appliances on or off via the Map View. It shows all your appliances at a glance, including where they are placed and their current status. You can control their modes or change temperature or other things.

You can also use Bixby voice commands to answer calls, change appliance settings, and troubleshoot problems. You can check the weather and your schedule or stream music and videos.

These appliances will come with the Samsung TV Plus app pre-installed, allowing you to watch live channels and video-on-demand content.

By recognizing each family member's voice, the device will offer a personalized experience. It can let you view your memories from Google Photos or change the font size based on your preferences.

Moon Jong-seung, VP of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances (DA) division, said, “Samsung screen appliances have a clear competitive edge in providing a smooth device connection experience through a screen-based ‘AI Home. We will continue to introduce various AI appliances and services that help users reduce the burden of housework and enjoy a wide range of device connection experiences.

Samsung could also unveil its next-generation TV lineup at CES 2025. We expect it to showcase its new Neo QLED 4K, Neo QLED 8K, and OLED TVs at the upcoming event.
