Samsung is rolling out a software update to one of its most affordable smartphones from 2021, the Galaxy A03. It brings the February 2025 security patch to the smartphone, which fixes a lot of security issues, which you can check out here.
Currently, Samsung has made the latest security update available for the variant of the phone that it sells in the Americas, which has the model number SM-A035M. The update changes the device’s firmware version to A035MUBS8CYA3.
To get the update, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the firmware from our database and install it manually using Odin. Before you take the second option, back up your data.
Currently, the Galaxy A03 is on a biannual security update schedule, which means that Samsung will offer it two security updates every year. Usually, the brand offers older security patches to affordable devices on a biannual schedule.
Fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case with the Galaxy A03 this time as it is getting the latest security patch available at the moment. The phone is currently running Android 13-based One UI 5.0 and it will not get new versions of Android.
If you are planning to get a replacement for your Galaxy A03 in the same price range, you should take a look at the recently launched Galaxy A06 5G. There's also Galaxy A15, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy A55 if you can extend your budget a bit.
