More Galaxy S23 cases suggest Samsung has consolidated the design

We have yet to see the upcoming Galaxy S23 in the flesh, but so far, the rumor mill has produced a few fan-made renders and photos of third-party cases to the point where we may have a general idea of the S23 trio's exterior design. A couple more photos have now been added to the growing pile of Galaxy S23-related leaks and rumors, and they seemingly reconfirm a uniform camera design across the entire series.

The new photos, seen below, depict three cases produced by third-party manufacturers for the upcoming Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Plus model is wrongly labeled “Pro,” but we don't expect Samsung to go through a renaming phase next year.

More to the point, these cases lend more credibility to the previous leaks and rumors claiming that Samsung will consolidate the Galaxy S23 series camera design. The phones could feature circular camera cutouts and no exaggerated bumps.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra seemingly has a squarer footprint than the other two models. The base and Plus variants have rounded corners, but this discrepancy is to be expected, considering that the Ultra variant needs room for the S Pen.

Can these Galaxy S23 case photos be trusted?

The photos seemingly originate from a smartphone case manufacturer from China (via @UniverseIce). In theory, they should be based on official dimensions shared by Samsung with its partners ahead of time and offer a glimpse into the official Galaxy S23 design language. Or they could be one-of-a-kind prototype cases with no guarantee that they correspond to official dimensions.

Nevertheless, this isn't the first time the rumor mill has pointed at this particular design approach for the upcoming flagship lineup. And since Samsung is mere months away from unveiling the Galaxy S23, some information about dimensions and other specifications is bound to surface as it travels across the vast supply chain.

Then again, previous third-party case leaks have suggested that the Galaxy S23 series may have a slight camera bump after all. It could be that Someone might've gotten the wrong information from Samsung, so it's probably wise to treat these early leaks with a proverbial pinch of salt. We'll keep you posted as more details emerge.
