Samsung and TikTok have announced a new partnership to democratize music production and allow TikTokers worldwide to showcase their talents and create music alongside renowned artists. The companies have announced a new international music discovery format called StemDrop, which they describe as “the next evolution of music collaboration.”

StemDrop will give music creators opportunities to collaborate with world-renowned songwriters. The platform is officially launching on October 26 on TikTok. Samsung and the social media platform have partnered with Syco Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Republic Records. StemDrop will debut with Max Martin releasing a 60-second splice of an original new single, which TikTokers can then use to create their own mixes.

Once the new song by Max Martin is available through StemDrop, TikTok users will have access to the stems, which are individual components of the song, including vocals, drums, bass lines, and so on. This will enable creative freedom for TikTokers who want to showcase their talents and turn the 60-second song into a collaborative creation.

Samsung wants creators to make music videos using the Galaxy Z Flip 4

Samsung is taking this opportunity to promote the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The company encourages TikTokers to use the flip phone's FlexCam features to create and share their own music videos.

In reality, it's not just the Galaxy Z Flip 4 that can offer an optimal experience. With the launch of the Galaxy S22, Samsung has integrated its camera app with a handful of popular social media apps, including TikTok. This integration allows users to create high-quality videos and maximize the camera's potential within the social media app.

Samsung also made possible a “StemDrop Mixer,” which will allow TikTok users of all levels to experiment with melodies, harmonies, and audio effects to create new mixes and share them on the social media platform.
