Earlier today, Samsung released the November 2022 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in Europe. Now, the update is also rolling out to the unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US. The carrier-locked versions of the phones are yet to get the latest security update.
The latest software update for the unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with firmware version F721U1UES1AVJ7 in the US. For the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the new security update has arrived with firmware version F936U1UES1AVJ1. The new update brings the November 2022 security patch that promises to fix various privacy and security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy devices. Samsung's new software might also fix general bugs and improve device stability.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Galaxy Z Fold 4 user in the US with an unlocked model, you can download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the correct firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Both phones debuted a couple of months ago with Android 12 (Android 12L for Z Fold 4) and One UI 4.1.1 onboard. They come with a promise of five years of security updates and four major Android OS updates.
