Earlier this month, Samsung released the stable Android 13 update to the Galaxy S22 series in the US. However, it did not bring the latest security patch to the smartphones in the series. Now, the company has started rolling out the November 2022 security patch to its current flagship Galaxy S phones in the US.
The latest software update for the carrier-locked units of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S901USQU2BVK1. It brings the November 2022 security patch that fixes close to four dozen security vulnerabilities, some of which are marked as critical. You can read more about Samsung's November 2022 security patch here.
The update is currently available on Comcast and T-Mobile networks in the US. Other carrier networks could soon get access to the new software.
If you are a Galaxy S22 series user in the US with a carrier-locked unit, you can download the new firmware on your device by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually. Don't forget to back up your data before the manual flashing process, though.
