Although the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ will never receive Android 13, we have some exciting news for Galaxy Note 10 Lite users! Android 13 and One UI 5.0 are now live for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, at least in one European country, with more regions hopefully joining the party soon.
The One UI 5.0 update is now available for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite (SM-N770F) in France, and we're guessing the update will reach additional European countries momentarily. The Android 13 update for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite carries firmware version N770FXXU8HVK5. It also includes the November 2022 security patch.
Android 13 goes live for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite!
The highlight of this update is One UI 5.0, but it's worth keeping in mind that some features available in One UI 5.0 for flagships, like the Galaxy S22, may be missing from this update or may not be as complete.
In theory, Galaxy Note 10 Lite users should now be able to use the fantastic multitasking gestures added to the new “Labs” section in the Settings app, and they should have access to a new lock screen customization menu. The One UI 5.0 update improved performance and stability for the Galaxy S22, and the Galaxy Note 10 Lite may also feel snappier thanks to this latest update.
This is the last major Android-based firmware update Samsung will release for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. The phone shipped with Android 10, and One UI 5.0 makes it its third and final big firmware update. The full-fledged Galaxy Note 10 flagships were released in 2019, running Android 9; however, the upper-mid-range Galaxy Note 10 Lite went live a few months later in 2020, running Android 10. With the arrival of One UI 5.0, Note 10 Lite customers are now reaping the benefits of buying the cheaper model rather than going for the flagship variants.
Galaxy Note 10 Lite users should be able to download the new One UI 5.0 firmware update upon receiving the notification or by opening the Settings app on their phones, accessing “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.” SamMobile readers can refer to our firmware page if they prefer skipping that process and downloading the official firmware files for manual updates.
