Android 13 is now seeping into Samsung's low-cost Galaxy M lineup. We reported on the Galaxy M53 5G getting the update earlier today, but that's not the end. Samsung is also making One UI 5.0 available for the cheaper Galaxy M33 5G.
The Android 13 update is available for the Galaxy M33 5G (SM-M336B) in Europe. M33 users in this part of the world can identify the update by firmware version M336BXXU3BVK3. And also included is the October 2022 security patch.
Similar to the Galaxy M53 and A53, the latest firmware update for the Galaxy A33 5G arrived only a couple of weeks after the A-branded counterpart received One UI 5.0. Samsung is doing a more-than-decent job at updating the majority of its devices according to the One UI 5.0 roadmap, and in fact, the company is a bit early with this release.
The tentative One UI 5.0 roadmap for Germany mentioned that the Galaxy M33 5G should receive the update in December. We're only a few days away from December, yet Android 13 is already rolling out.
The new update introduces several changes to the UI and the Settings app layout, along with more customization options through Material You and the lock screen. Galaxy M33 5G users may also notice a slight improvement in performance across One UI.
If you own the Galaxy M33 5G in Europe, you should receive an update notification for Android 13 at any moment. If you haven't, you can try to trigger the update process by accessing the Settings app, navigating to “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.” And as usual, if you prefer manual updates through a PC, you can download the official firmware files from our website.
