Samsung is continuously rolling out the November 2022 security update to various smartphones and tablets. Today, the company has released the new security patch to the Galaxy A40 and the Galaxy Tab S7 FE in some European countries.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A40 comes with firmware version A405FNXXU4CVK1. The update is currently available in Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. Apart from security vulnerabilities, the update might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements.
The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is getting the November 2022 security update with firmware version T736BXXS1BVK8. The tablet is currently getting the update in Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Nordic countries, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, Spain, Switzerland, the Baltic region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the UK.
The November 2022 security patch fixes close to four dozen security vulnerabilities, resulting in better security. To update your Galaxy A40 or Galaxy Tab S7 FE to the latest software, you can head to Settings » Software update and tap on Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
While the Galaxy A40 isn't eligible for Android OS updates any further, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE is eligible to get the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update but hasn't received it yet.
