Samsung has sent out invites for an event in New Delhi, India on September 17, for officially launching the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear in the country. With India rising as one of the most important smartphone markets, Samsung has continually launched new devices along with their international counterparts, and it looks like people will be able to get their hands on a shiny new phablet and the smartwatch at the end of September or in early October, with prebookings for the two devices having started today.
The Galaxy Note 3 sports a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 1.9GHz Exynos octa-core / 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32 and 64GB storage options along with a microSD slot, 13-megapixel camera that can record Ultra HD (4K) video, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, HSPA, LTE, and USB 3.0 connectivity, a 3,200mAh battery, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, with an array of new software features and an improved S Pen for stylus input.
The Galaxy Gear acts as a companion to the Galaxy Note 3, and sports a 1.63″ Super AMOLED display, 1.9-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, single-core 800MHz Exynos processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, a 315mAh battery, and Bluetooth and NFC connectivity. It can initiate calls, read messages and emails, includes a pedometer for health-related features, has S Voice built-in for creating alarms, loading apps, writing messages, and more, and comes in a wide variety of colors.
